“No standard service provision charge” – WTF!?

This is the outro to my previous post on how Nokia Care kicked me in the butt. I had mailed them about my problem and 2 days later (I was promised Nokia would respond within 24 hours, ha!), I got a autoresponder reply from them. Here goes -

This e-mail is in reference to the functionality of your Nokia 5610. We regret the inconvenience caused. Please be informed that our Nokia Care Centers are authorized and recommended by Nokia. Moreover, kindly note that the technicians at the Nokia Care Centre are well trained technically and have an in depth knowledge of the product. Further please note that there is no standard service provision charge as it is levied depending on availability of spare part, nature of concern and other technically related factors.

Seriously, its got ‘what a load of crap’ written all over it. What does a warranty even mean, then? This mail just cements my opinion of Nokia and its shitty customer service. Take my advice and never buy one of their phones, ever!
