Friending your parents on Facebook isn’t a great idea, but it is almost unavoidable. And sometimes, you make the inadvertent mistake of posting a.. inappropriate status message. However, Facebook actually provides very granular privacy options.

Here’s how you can hide your Facebook status from specific people in your friends list, or even let only specific friends read it (kinda like a private message).

Click on the lock icon on the bottom-right corner of your status update box and click on Customize.

Now you can just type in all the people who should not be (or should be) able to read your status!
